ROOT CANAL

My tooth doesn’t hurt but my dentist says I need a root canal, do I?

The inflammation from deep decay, a crack or fracture may quickly develop and vanish due to nerve death. It’s possible to not feel any pain at all when this is happening. Unfortunately, the infection can spread into the entire body, in some cases causing severe medical complications. For that reason, it’s very possible to need an extraction or root canal even if pain is not present. If you suspect deep decay could be present, be sure to consult your dentist.
